Advice on Selling My House for Cash in New York?

Hello Peeps,

I’m considering selling my house for cash in New York and could use some guidance. Has anyone here sold their house for cash in this area? What should I know about the process specific to New York? Are there reputable companies or investors who specialize in cash purchases here? Any tips on ensuring a fair deal and navigating legalities would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help…

Fast cash. Not a problem. Although you won’t obtain the best deals, everyone has different needs. The issue is not in their poor offers, but more in their predatory behaviour against the elderly. There are countless tales of granny with dementia signing away her house, and the children trying to contest it for years in court.

This is how a person I know started buying residences with cash. He claimed that many of the cases involved persons inheriting homes they didn’t want to deal with. After doing their walkthrough, they would take what they deemed important and discard everything else. Then, to unload the space with the least amount of difficulty, they would summon people like him. According to him, they were unearthing abandoned coin collections and other items and were generating a surprisingly large profit.

In our family, there have undoubtedly been a few homes where I wish we had just collected the emotional items and let someone with less money handle the rest. Seems like there’s always a relative who wants to make things right before selling and turning it into a headache but can’t afford to buy everyone else out.

You seem to be worried about exploitative behaviors in quick cash transactions, especially as they relate to vulnerable people, such as the elderly. These circumstances can be difficult and full of legal complications, particularly when addressing matters like property transfers and dementia. It is imperative to use caution when engaging in such transactions and make sure that those who are more susceptible are shielded from abuse. To protect against future financial risks and guarantee fair treatment, it is imperative that you seek legal advice and comprehend all ramifications before signing any agreements.
