First, I’m so sorry! Your dream of owning a home became a nightmare. Please don’t blame yourself. Your agent should have walked you through the disclosures and asked the other side lots of questions because there were renovations. Please ask your agent for all records of communication regarding disclosure, repairs between the two agents. They have emails. It might help you fill in the gaps but also your attorney will need it. As many mentioned, reach out to title and ask how it closed. Keep records of everything through email. You will get through this and you are not to blame, it’s your first time.
