Hey everyone, I’m a first-time home buyer and my lender is asking for both a geotechnical engineer and a structural engineer to do inspections and reports. We’re having trouble scheduling with one and are on a tight deadline. Any recommendations for reputable companies in the Los Angeles area? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Try checking Yelp or Angi for reviews on engineers in your area. You could also ask your realtor, they usually have some good contacts.

Thanks! We’ll definitely check those out and reach out to our realtor for suggestions.
I’d recommend calling several firms and explaining your time constraint. Sometimes they’ll squeeze you in if they know it’s urgent. We had to do that with our structural engineer!

That’s a good idea, I’ll try calling a few more places tomorrow!
A good realtor should have connections for this. If they’re not helping you out with contacts, maybe it’s time to find a new one. They should have this stuff ready for you.

The OP needs an engineer, not a new realtor. Let’s stay on topic, yeah?
We used Foundation Tech Engineering for our geotech report in LA. They were quick and thorough. Not sure about structural engineers, though.
