My family and I are moving to New Haven this summer and I have done the research on neighborhoods etc. but would really like to work with someone savvy to the area/knows the good landlords to find an apartment. We are middle income people so not looking for someone to show us luxury options, just solid market rate 2 or 3 bedroom spots. We don’t mind paying a commission if it means we land in the right spot. My worst nightmare is to get stuck in a lease in a horrible place that looks good on the surface with a 2 year old in a new city. Would love recommendations if someone has personal experience. I am not able to drive or bike so need to land in a walkable neighborhood.

Highly recommend Seabury Hill. They were great to work with, super knowledgeable, not at all pushy. I think their commission is generally paid by the landlord, which is another bonus.

Seconding Seabury Hill. We moved here 6 years ago and we worked with Melenie remotely and she was great. We haven’t moved since because we like our place and landlord so much.

Check out Elm City Apartments! They own some properties on Whitney and they are reasonably priced. A one bedroom 900 sqft well maintained apartment is $1500. Hard to beat the location and the price.
