Have received the first two unsolicited “cold calls” to buy my house ever

I should add I am in a relatively small and historically not super desirable real estate area. The timing has me thinking this is more than coincidence, but figured I’d ask the experts.

There is absolutely zero conclusions to draw from the fact that you got 2 phone calls.

There are a few types of cold calls. They could be scams, lowball offers for a quick flip, or legitimate market offers. Most people get lowball offers occasionally. I started giving crazy numbers to deter them.

I routinely receive cold calls. Speculators hire offshore VAs to make calls, hoping to catch a sucker. Recently, I saw people with binders in my area, and then I received several calls about buying.

If you’re not trying to get political, why bring up the word?

Honestly, I’m hoping for insights on industry perspectives instead of political causes.

It’s likely more indicative of your local market. In hotter markets, these calls are common. They’re usually from investors wanting to pay less than market value.

Thanks for responding. This sort of thing is pretty unheard of around here, but it seems like my area is finally getting some attention.

I get 5-6 a week for various properties.

It’s wild here since none of my neighbors or friends have received these calls before.

I get at least one a day for different properties. It’s so annoying.

It would help if you said where you are. If investors are interested, it may indicate growth in real estate values.
