My rowhome is about 80 years old, and I’m curious about its history—not just the sales price, but the story behind it. Was it built by a developer to sell each unit, or did it use to be apartments? What was the neighborhood like when it was built? Was it intended for high, low, or middle-income families?
Where would you go to learn about the history of your house?

You can look up the local census data to find out who has resided there before

There are great resources at the library and historical society. When a client requests information about their property in the city, I gather a lot of data for them. Their team can provide excellent directions if they cannot locate much. They do things well.

What’s your profession first because for me as a teacher I don’t have the knowledge of a house! Anyways you can consult an expert, a historian, or an architect, who specializes in local buildings. In addition, You can review official records such as property deeds, census data, and electoral registers.
