I want to lose my home to rent, but I am not sure what to do next if I should rent it on my own or use a realtor. If I use the realtor or are the fees associated with using one

You don’t need a Realtor. If you don’t want to deal with the day to day stuff, look into a property manager.

I both rent and own, I would usually checkout Apartment and Zillow for properties.

Property managers sometimes don’t “scale” well on just one or two properties. If you know someone who can get you a a strong lease that you trust id just list it yourself.

My parents hire property managing company. They did all the work, but take 10% of the rent as payment. Worth it.

A real estate agent is all about these tasks and knows how to make your home shine and sell or rent for a good price. Letting a pro handle the details means you can focus on your own stuff and feel confident that your sale is in good hands.
