Looking for good websites to buy a condo in the Philippines

As a foreigner, I was looking online for the prices of condos in different locations in the Philippines. However, when I checked the most reputable websites like Lamudi, Dot Property, and FazWaz, I kept running into this annoying ‘bait and switch’ pricing. The listings would show a small price, but when I opened them up, the description had this exorbitant price that was often ten times or more than what was initially listed. I really just want a website that shows the real full price, not some monthly rent or the first down payment, just the total price. I’m looking for a condo in an apartment complex because, based on my research, that’s the only option for foreigners to buy since 60% of the condos are owned by locals. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You might have better luck checking out some expat forums. They usually have updated info on reliable sites.

That’s a good idea, I didn’t think of that. Any specific forums you recommend?

@Keaton
r/expats is decent for that kind of info, but just FYI, they don’t allow crossposting. You could try looking for other expat-specific forums too.

I hear you on the bait and switch thing. It’s super frustrating when you’re just trying to get a clear idea of prices.

Totally agree, it’s like they just want to get you to click on the links without showing the real costs upfront.

Have you tried checking local real estate agents or smaller websites? Sometimes they have more straightforward listings.

That’s a solid point. I guess they might not have the same incentive to play those pricing games.

Just be careful with properties that look too good to be true. Always do your due diligence.

Right, what do you mean by due diligence? I’m not sure I get that.

Just checking all the details, making sure there are no hidden fees, and confirming the actual ownership situation.

I feel you, finding a real price can be a hassle. I’d keep looking around and cross-checking multiple sites.
