I treated myself to a cleaning service. Even though I’m sure the sellers are wonderful folks and have lived in the house since 1999, I’d prefer to start over with my own dirt. I simply searched for the highest rated on Google. I was shocked (and thrilled) that they could make it as we are moving the week of Thanksgiving. To make sure they detail the entire house, I also questioned them about their “deep clean”. Even though I can clean, it feels wonderful to cross something off my enormous to-do list.
I recommend vent cleaning services for homes older than 5 years. It makes a world of difference. Cleaned 22-year-old vents once that had never been cleaned. Felt like a new house and removed all the “smells” of the old residents.
The only times I’ve done what you’re describing is when people specifically ask if I do that (since I clean houses for a living). Usually, the client knows you and asks, but the best approach is to post your services online and be clear about what you want to offer.
