Purchasing a house without a realtor

Hello Realty family, I want to purchase a house straight from the seller; I do not want to engage any real estate brokers. To avoid paying the 4%–6% commission, my loan officer proposed that we come to a simple agreement. I will speak with my loan officer and have an appraisal completed tomorrow. Is this process actually as drawn out and difficult as I have been told? I work part time and am a student, so I have time to deal with paperwork. What should I do after receiving the appraisal?

Any advice from those with experience? Thanks!

Contact a local title agency. They can handle the closing for you and could likely give you a blank contract to fill out or tell you where you can get one. We recently bought a house with no realtor on either side. We worked with a great title company and communicated with each other every step of the way and had no issues. You can message me if you would like more information.

Buying without an expert can be tricky. You might miss out on good negotiation, get buried in paperwork, or overlook hidden problems in the house.

Once you know the person and have a price set, just head to a title company to get started. If everything’s straightforward and your funding is ready, it should be pretty smooth.

Its just simple, Explore the market. Research the different neighborhoods you’re interested in. Know their names, boundaries and how much recently sold homes in the area cost.
