Hey all… my husband and I are diving into the home buying process for the first time early next year. We’ve seen bits and pieces about what to look for in real estate, but we need more in-depth info. We’re not looking to take those long real estate classes, so where can we learn what we need? Is YouTube a good starting point?
Check out Homeclosing101.org! They have a ton of useful info and even vendor lists.
You can actually interview multiple agents before deciding who to work with. It really helps to feel confident about it.

Thanks for the tip! I just want to know what questions to ask so I can understand the answers.
@Laurel
Try asking about the home buying process, current market conditions, and what happens after you submit an offer.
What exactly do you want to know? Finding homes? Real estate taxes? Just let me know, I can help!

Honestly, all of it! The whole process from start to finish. I’m only somewhat familiar with PMI.
Congrats, OP! Check out community colleges for classes on homebuying. They often have good programs.

Thanks! What kind of classes should I look for? Just basic homebuyer stuff?
@Laurel
Yeah, ‘new homebuyer’ classes are perfect. You can also find online courses, like the one from Fannie Mae.

What do you mean by loan broker? Is that different from a lender?
