Seller moved the goalposts... is it worth it?

We put an offer on a house three weeks ago before listing our own, but the seller said it was too low and wanted to see our house on the market first, which I get. Now that our home is listed, we made a higher offer, but they shot it down again. They want our home under contract and to remove contingencies for inspection and appraisal. Feels like they don’t really want to sell… should I even keep trying?

Sounds like they’re just making it super complicated. If they want all that, maybe they’re not serious about selling?

Yeah, I wouldn’t get my hopes up. If they keep changing the terms, it might not be worth your time.

Right? Like, they should just sell if they’re ready. Sounds fishy to me.

I think you should move on. There are plenty of other houses out there. Don’t waste energy on someone who isn’t motivated to sell.

For real! It’s like they’re just playing games. I’d look elsewhere if I were you.

Exactly! Don’t let one seller’s weirdness hold you back from finding a good deal.

If they’re being this picky now, imagine how tough it’ll be later. Better to find a seller who’s more flexible.
