Hi all, I recently sold a home that I bought as new construction, and I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I don’t plan to share any unnecessary info until after closing, but I was wondering if it would be a nice gesture to provide photos of the house’s build process to the new owners once the sale is finalized. Is this something that could backfire or is it just a thoughtful touch?
Nice gesture but risky. Even after closing, those photos could come back to haunt you if they show something that later becomes an issue. Better to keep them for your own memories.
I’d love to have them, but I don’t know about possible risks. The house I bought has a lot number and model number posted in the garage from when it was originally built in the 60’s. I plan to leave it up until it disintegrates on its own.
I think it’s a nice gesture. Just be selective with what you share.
No need to share them, honestly. It’s better to keep that info to yourself.
Consider sharing a few highlights that show the home’s uniqueness, but skip anything that could be problematic later. It could be a great way to connect with the new owners.
