Starting my journey: Seeking advice

Hello, I am interested in investing in real estate as in my life there are some new changes bringing that opportunity and I don’t want to waste it. I do not know much about real estate investing but I am willing to put in the work and learn.

For those of you with experience:

  1. What books and resources would you recommend?
  2. What advice would you give yourself if you could speak to the person you were at the beginning of your journey?
  3. What are general mistakes to avoid?

Thank you.

I’m more than happy to share my experience and knowledge with you whenever you have some free time. Maybe we can setup a phone call or zoom and I can explain the basics. Rule #1 in Real Estate investing is to build great relationships with everyone. It pays off huge in the end. Some people have money to be your private lender, some make for great partners, some are great for just knowledge, and etc.

Either way best if luck on your journey towards Generational wealth!

Narrowing your parameters might help you to focus more productively on your goal. Do want passive rental income? Do you want to flip? Does the ‘standard’ real estate agency with residential buyers/sellers appeal? Etc. There are many facets that encompass the business. What resources (people) you know can influence a lot initially. Hybridization often occurs later naturally but initial ‘nuts and bolts’ of the transaction process might be a good start if I’m interpreting your question right.
