Thoughts on living next to a LARGE green transformer box?

I’m talking about the LARGE 20x20 transformer box that you only see in one community, not the little green ones that you see everywhere, like every ten houses. I’m now helping a client who is receiving a great offer on a corner property. Nonetheless, the LARGE 20x20 transformer box is in the front walkway and next to the home, not even tucked in back, because it’s a corner with plenty of space. Ideas?

Here, what units are we discussing? 20’ x 20’ or 20" x 20"

This reminds me of a spinal tap scenario.

@Clementine LOL On a plat plan, 20 feet x 20 feet; in real life, slightly smaller

As a child, I had one in my garden, but it was pretty far from our house and our yard was pretty big. It was hit by lightning once, which wasn’t fun.

Having a large 20x20 transformer box in the front walkway of a corner property can definitely raise some concerns for potential buyers, but there are several ways to approach this situation. First, consider enhancing the landscaping around the transformer box to help it blend in better with the surroundings. You could use shrubs, decorative fencing, or planters to create a visual barrier while still maintaining easy access for utility workers. Additionally, make sure to highlight the positives of the property, such as its location, layout, and any unique features, to help potential buyers focus on what they love about the home. If the transformer box is a dealbreaker for some, consider pricing the property competitively to account for the perceived inconvenience. Lastly, being transparent about the box’s presence and addressing any concerns during showings can help potential buyers feel more comfortable making an offer.
