When I moved into a new place, I found that a thorough cleaning was crucial for feeling settled. Start with the basics: dust and wipe down all surfaces, including high and low spots like ceiling fans and baseboards. Clean the windows and mirrors to brighten up the space. For kitchens and bathrooms, tackle the appliances, cabinets, and fixtures with strong cleaners. Don’t forget to clean under and behind appliances, as well as inside the fridge and oven. Changing air filters and checking for any maintenance issues can also make a big difference. Lastly, vacuum and mop the floors, and ensure that any previous tenants’ belongings are fully removed. This approach helped me feel more comfortable and ensured that everything was fresh and ready for my move.
