I have a beautiful house for sale right in Lake Silver River, next to a gorgeous community park in a really great neighborhood. I’ve had a realtor, but they didn’t do any legwork, and I ended up having to do everything to get showings. I’m looking for a way to sell the house quickly because my disabilities are advancing, and I want to finish my bucket list before the house sells. I really need this house to sell to make that happen.
Price competitively compared to similar homes. Price is the biggest factor in how many showings and offers you’ll get. If your home is move-in ready, discuss with your agent about accepting FHA, VA, or USDA offers. Getting a pest inspection can help too, as those buyers often have fewer options. Make your home easy to say yes to, and consider holding an open house.
I actually don’t have an agent. I fired her a year ago because she wasn’t doing anything, and after that bad experience, I’m scared to try another one. With my disabilities, I can’t handle all the work myself. The house is move-in ready, but there’s a renter in it right now, and her lease ends at the end of January.
You can definitely sell a house without an agent. Consider using a flat-fee listing service and offer a negotiable commission. But if you want someone to do the work and sell quickly, hire a good agent. Ask friends and family for referrals and interview a couple before making your decision.
Thanks for the advice. I’ll try again. My family suggested an auction, but I’m not sure how I feel about that. A couple of different realtors have reached out to me since I posted on Facebook Marketplace, but they all seem to be in the same area as the first realtor and expect me to do all the legwork for them. Maybe I should look for one outside of that area who will work in my area.
I’m using speech-to-text because my fingers are so swollen. Sorry about the bad body of the text. I just wanted to mention again that it’s right next to a beautiful river and across the street from a lovely community park in a really great neighborhood.
