I was driving my investor clients to show a property in a rough area. We witnessed a hit-and-run incident nearby, possibly involving a stolen car. An officer was searching for the suspect with a gun, but we couldn’t see anyone. We cautiously passed the officer and proceeded to the property. Along the way, we spotted a man running through yards away from the scene.
Upon reaching the property, we called 911. As I parked, I saw the same man running towards us. Concerned for our safety, I quickly reversed and drove away. We returned to the scene and informed the officer, who searched the area but didn’t find the man. Given the circumstances and reports of break-ins at the property, we decided to skip the showing.
An agent sneaked past law enforcement and firefighters to hike through the streets and water down the house for out-of-town sellers due to a doozy of a wildfire in the hills that a listing bordered. #trustee
As a real estate agent with a decade of experience, I’ve encountered various challenges, but safety always remains a top priority. Reaching the property, we called 911 and soon saw the same man running towards us. Concerned for our safety, I reversed and drove away, returning to inform the officer. Due to the circumstances and reports of break-ins, we decided to skip the showing, prioritizing the safety of my clients and myself.
