Will Firing My Real Estate Lawyer Affect Closing? (New Jersey)

Hello folks…

I wanna fire my real estate lawyer and hiring a new one for my property closing in New Jersey. I’m concerned about how this might impact the closing process.

Will firing my lawyer cause delays or complications with the closing? What steps should I take to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any issues?

Any advice or experiences related to changing lawyers during a real estate transaction would be really helpful. Thanks

Firing your real estate lawyer could indeed cause a bit of a hiccup in the process. I experienced a slight delay when I switched lawyers during a closing, but it wasn’t too bad.
