I’m buying a property in Seattle, set to close on Nov 13th. Came across a realtor who pushed for a 2-week close to make our offer strong. I was skeptical but trusted her. She suggested waiving the home inspection, saying it was fine since repairs were done. But then she waived the info verification period without me noticing. Now I’m in a tricky situation with easements… anyone have advice?
Wow, that sounds really stressful! Easements can be a hassle. Most properties have them for utilities, so it’s not super uncommon. Just make sure to understand what they mean for your property.

Yeah, exactly! Utility easements are usually just for access, but private easements can complicate things. I’d check with a lawyer if you’re unsure.

What do you mean by ‘private easements’? I’m not familiar with that term.
@Sonny
Oh, sorry! Private easements are when someone else has a right to use part of your property, not just the utility companies. Those can lead to issues down the line.
I’ve had a similar experience! It’s always good to review title reports yourself. Easements can really impact property value later on.
For sure! If you’re not getting good support from your realtor, definitely consider talking to another one or a lawyer.

Thanks! I think I might need to consult someone. It’s just overwhelming right now.
Also, don’t stress too much about the easements! They can be manageable if you know how to navigate them. Just stay informed.
