My partner and I are considering purchasing a home from Tri Pointe Homes, but before we make any decisions, we want to hear from those who have firsthand experience with them.
For those of you who have bought a Tri Pointe home, what has your experience been like? Are you happy with the quality of construction and the overall home-buying process? Were there any issues that came up after you moved in, and if so, how were they handled by Tri Pointe’s customer service?
Hey everyone! My partner and I are thinking about buying a home from Tri Pointe Homes and would love to hear from anyone who’s had firsthand experience with them. How’s the quality of their construction, and what was the home-buying process like for you? If you encountered any issues after moving in, how did Tri Pointe’s customer service handle them? Thanks for any insights you can share!
In my opinion, buying a home from a big builder is usually not as satisfying as building a custom home with a small private contractor. With a custom home, you get exactly what you want, and the workers are directly accountable to you. I’ll however keep following the conversation in case someone has any insights.
So, my Stepfather was the president of that company for a number of years. I have a bit of a bias as a result but also the deepest understanding of that company you’ll find online.
In Central Texas, they are regarded as the best builder relative to their competitors in their class (Scott Felder, Lennar, DR Horton, Perry, etc. [Personally I like Fedler and Perry the most out of the competitors])I think that it’s a great builder with some great products and finishes but like most, they have gone downhill a bit since the start of the pandemic.
Is your townhome freestanding or will you share a wall? I think that would impact the quality of life no matter who the builder is. I would really consider playing on their website and using the Online Sales Consular to get a gauge as to how responsive they will be post-sale, just look at up times and responsiveness.
Regardless of who you buy from read over your warranty information incredibly carefully as that is where the bulk of the value is with New Construction, you may have things covered that you won’t expect or things that aren’t covered that you wish were.
